Resources are the core data item in Overseer Network Monitor. A resource is anything that
needs to be monitored. It may be a network device that gets ping'd, it may be a windows
service on a Windows server, it may be the free space on a hard drive, etc. Overseer uses
the resource model, which provides you far more bang for the buck than the host-based
model, where you must pay for every host that gets monitored, even if you only monitor 1-5
resources on that computer. You can create a resource of any supported type by clicking
File->New Resource->[resource type] or clicking the 'New Resource' button in the toolbar
and selecting the appropriate resource type.
