Overview

Process Monitor resources are used to monitor Windows processes. This is often done for processes that do not run as Windows services for some reason.

Process monitoring can be used to determine if an application is not running, running when it shouldn't be-- or too many, too few, etc.

Additionally, process monitoring can alert you if the memory usage or CPU% exceeds defined thresholds. This is incredibly important for certain applications that we know misbehave at times, and require a manual restart of the app.
